Transition Overview
Dust Transition is a GPU-accelerated plugin for After Effects that allows you to dissolve images into millions of pixel-sized particles, distorted using various noise algorithms.
The particles can be colorized with gradients and randomized with noise, offering a wide range of creative possibilities.
The plugin features three types of transitions:
  1. Linear: Control the angle and feathering of the wipe effect.
  2. Noise: Adjust the noise scale and contrast for dynamic transitions.
  3. Image-based: Use black-and-white images or precompositions to precisely control the shape of the transition.
Additionally, Dust Transition allows you to simulate realistic particle behavior:
  • Dust particles can be influenced by forces such as wind and gravity.
  • In 3D mode, you can direct particles toward the camera, creating stunning visual effects.
Thanks to GPU acceleration, the plugin operates efficiently on modern PCs and Macs, ensuring smooth performance even with complex projects. You can add up to 10 layers of particles to achieve more realistic and detailed sand-like effects.
With Dust Transition, you can creatively reveal objects, texts, or other elements in your compositions, making it a powerful tool for motion designers and video editors.
